What is PTF?

The PTF at SABCS is the school’s Parent Teacher Fellowship, and is a volunteer group of parents that are dedicated to working alongside our schools teachers and staff to improve our children’s education.

OUR MISSION

Our goal is to help create a school community, where teachers and administrators can do their best work, and so can our children.

Over the past several years, PTF has worked alongside the school to help

  • Improve technology by purchasing several smart boards for classrooms.
  • Improve well being by purchasing water bottle filling stations
  • Improve on fun by adding 2 gaga pits and a half basketball court to the playground

Bringing Families Together Through Service and Support

PTF also sponsors and hosts events such as STEAM and Literacy nights, Penguin patch for children to purchase gifts for family and friends. Donuts with Dad and Muffins with Mom, which will be replaced by Donuts with Grownups this year, offering a spring program and donuts. This year PTF will also be having a Daddy Daughter dance in February. We also help coordinate lunches and mailbox  treats for Teacher appreciation week and mailbox treats for Christmas. PTF also has a hand in Chalk Walk, JR Crusaders and many other things throughout the year.

All of this could not be possible without our school family volunteers. PTF welcomes all volunteers. Everyone has their own talents to offer, so any volunteering is never too big or too small. Volunteering shouldn’t feel like a job, we do a lot and not everything is easy but it is fun and rewarding! We cover a lot of different tasks from leading, setting up and cleaning up events. So if you are a lead person or more of a behind the scene, we have a place for you.

Although PTF does fundraising for various reasons, our main goal is to get more parents connected and involved in the school, when parents get connected to the school, children do better.
